One of the nicest things about the FastSkan is that it can scan and verify both driver licenses and other types of ID cards.

The scanner can do this by decoding the data that is stored in the encrypted 2D barcode of the drivers license. Of course, if the data is unreadable there is a problem somewhere with the license.

Another benefit of a Drivers license scanner is that the process is pretty much automated which makes it easy for you to scan quite a few driver licenses in a short amount of time.

The FastSkan scanner extracts the face image, and full text data from the driver’s license. The FastSkan uses 2D scanning technology that can populate the license text into appropriate fields within 2-3 seconds, into an external file, clipboard or third party software.

The extracted image and data can be exported to any other application, email, FTP and the web.
